Welcome to Something Blue. I'm Hairy Larry and I've got the Blues, for you.

All right now, that's Catherine MacLellan singing "Emily's Song" from her CD, Church Bell Blues. What a beautiful voice. Kicking us off tonight we heard Gerry Joe Weise singing about "Ned Kelly Outlaw". Gerry Joe Weise is from Australia so he knows this story about a famous Australian outlaw. Then we heard Endo playing "Walk In My Dreams". Great guitar work.
You're listening to Something Blue on KASU, home of the Blues in Northeast Arkansas every Saturday night. Listen on the internet at kasu.org. And you can visit the Something Blue website at sbblues.com.
Next we have a couple of songs by Doug Hendrix that I recorded at the Craighead Forest Bandshell. Doug is an amazing fingerpicker and a fine songwriter too. We'll hear "Working Folk Blues" and "Don't Stop".

Now that's what I'm talking about, Doug Hendrix live at the Craighead Forest Bandshell.
Next up we have a couple of guitar instrumentals. Endo plays "Thrill" and then Gerry Joe Weise plays "Sidewater Cajun". Just listen to this minimalist guitar work from Endo.

Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett - Down On The Farm
That's what I'm talking about. Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett recorded live at The Stables on December 10, 2009. Besides performing as an acoustic duo Paul and Fred play guitar with Little Feat. We heard "Honest Man", "Down On The Farm", and "Candyman".
You're listening to Something Blue on KASU and we've got some more songs from this great show. Here's Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett doing "Roll Um Easy".

Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett Acoustic Duo - Two Trains
All right, a Blues classic, "Two Trains". This entire concert is available at the Live Music Archive on archive.org. I have a couple more classics to close the show. First a Johnny Cash hit covered by The Band, "Long Black Veil". And then the song The Band is most famous for, "The Weight". I love both of these songs and George and I do them all the time. Now, here's Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett.
